Here’s a new list of upcoming rum releases for the US market compiled from TTB label certifications approved in January 2025. These are only label approvals recorded at the US TTB, so none of these are likely to be available yet and it’s anyone’s guess when they might appear in stores.
This doesn’t include every rum label approval, I’ve tried to triage the approvals to the brands that people would recognize, while also including other labels that might be interesting but excluding spiced/flavored products and most cachacas.
The TTB approved 130* rum labels in total this month, 22 are covered here. (see the last section at the bottom of the page for more information on the total count of labels for January).

This month’s highlights include: Mhoba officially launches in the US market! Saint James’ Coeur de Chauffe, an 18 year old Foursquare single barrel, new Haitian clairins, and several new Mexican rums.
You can find the January 2025 edition of this report here.
Alambique Serrano
Alambique de Cobre Pot Still White, Approved 17 January 2025.

Bacardi
Rare Gold, Approved 31 January 2025.

Grander
Single Barrel Wheated Bourbon Barrel for Liquor Merchant, Approved 10 January 2025.
Probably an Old Fitzgerald barrel based on the barrel code.

Maggie’s Farm
The Commoner Hotel Monaco Blend, Approved 21 January 2025.

Mhoba
The Shaldon High Ester Overproof, Approved 29 January 2025.
Formerly only available on the US market via independent bottlings, South African producer Mhoba is officially entering the US market thanks to Windyside Spirits, the company behind US IB Holmes Cay (also the first IB to release Mhoba in the US). This blended overproof release is the first of several that will eventually come to the US. This is the release I’m most excited about this month.

Oxbow/False River
Provost Farm Limited Edition Unaged Agricole, Approved 22 January 2025.
This limited release is made from cane sourced from Louisiana’s Provost Farm and benefiting their charity.

Dark, Approved 23 January 2025.

Prichard’s
Private Stock, Approved 30 January 2025.

Saint James
Coeur de Chauffe, Approved 6 January 2025.
This is a new product in the US market, and I was happy to taste it at their Miami Rum Congress booth last month.

Other Releases of Interest
Fat Dram 18 YO Foursquare, Approved 27 January 2025.
The age of Foursquare releases and single casks keeps creeping upward.. This release from US IB Fat Dram is one of the oldest I’ve seen so far, and I’m happy it’s at cask strength though that means that there are only 55 bottles released so best of luck finding one!

Major Arcana Wild Fermented Oaxacan Highland, Approved 21 January 2025.

Navèt 1804 Clairin Reserve 108, Approved 21 January 2025.

Navèt 1804 Clairin Reserve 216, Approved 21 January 2025.

Mr. Daiquiri The Lovers, Approved 24 January 2025.
I think this might be the first time this Singaporean brand has been in the US market.

Mr. Daiquiri The Stellar, Approved 24 January 2025.
The Stellar and La Forza are two newer brands from Mr. Daiquiri that I don’t recall seeing in Singapore previously.

Mr. Daiquiri La Forza, Approved 24 January 2025.

Matugga White, Approved 18 January 2025.
The first appearance on the US market of this Scottish rum brand, brought to the US by Boston’s Raising Glasses.

Matugga Golden, Approved 28 January 2025.

Don Chingon Sabe White, Approved 24 January 2025.
I do love the name of this brand, but it’s strange marketing – it’s a rum made from piloncillo, but they promote that it tastes like agave. And saying “the spirit of piloncillo with maguey” and “combines the richness of pioncillo and maguey” implies that it might be mixed, which is concerning as the front label says it’s a white rum. Their website doesn’t mention blending, so hopefully this is just a badly-worded label.

Viamundi Rum Artesanal Charanda, Approved 10 January 2025.
We saw a release from this brand in November 2024. The only difference between the two labels are the aroma and taste descriptors.

Shiner Craft, Approved 8 January 2025.
Shiner also got approval for a 50ml version of the same rum on 28 January. Shiner originally got approval for a rum label with a barebones placeholder label in October 2024.

Casa Maestri Premium 1965, Approved 8 January 2025.
While I don’t have high hopes for this rum based on the additive-laden tequila Casa Maestri produces, I’m including it here as another rum produced in Mexico coming to the US market. This is a 200ML container, and I see online that they’re already selling rum in flasks, so this might be a label update for their flask.

Commentary and Interesting Things
Strange Label Update: Last month we saw two parties filing label approvals for brands they didn’t own. This month we see one of them, Twenty One Wine and Spirits, surrendering some of those approvals (like Chairman’s Reserve) while turning right back around and filing for more questionable ones like this one for Bacardi 151, a product that hasn’t existed for quite some time. They also got approval for a Samaroli rum, with an absolutely bare minimum label. I have no idea what’s going on here.
CITS Limited in Pennsylvania continued to file more labels for Jamaican brands that aren’t in the US and that they likely don’t have authorization to import like Charley’s JB.
Rum made from grain?

This month we have a new Puerto Rican rum brand produced by List, a Florida distillery, and bottled in Puerto Rico. Surprisingly the front of the label says the rum is “DESTILLED FROM GRAINS”, raising the question of whether this is actually rum or if it’s made from grain neutral spirit or something similar. It’s a very strange thing to say on a rum label, and something you’d think the TTB would ask questions about.
There aren’t really 130 approvals this month. Regarding the number of approved labels this month, COLA searches don’t only include approved labels, they also show labels that were withdrawn, suspended, surrendered, etc. There’s no way for me to filter these out in the public COLA search interface and it’s usually not a problem as most of the search results are approvals. This month there were a dozen or more labels that were surrendered, which is more than usual. Those are counted as part of the 130 approved labels this month, even though they’re not approvals.
