Here’s a new list of upcoming rum releases for the US market compiled from TTB label certifications approved in February 2025. These are only label approvals recorded at the US TTB, so none of these are likely to be available yet and it’s anyone’s guess when they might appear in stores.
This doesn’t include every rum label approval, I’ve tried to triage the approvals to the brands that people would recognize, while also including other labels that might be interesting but excluding spiced/flavored products and most cachacas.
The TTB approved 123 rum labels in total this month, 67 (!!!) are covered here.

This month’s highlights include two new IBs in the US market (Bedford Park and Colours of Rum) with several Caroni casks sprinkled around, Admiral Rodney’s rebrand, a blend from the Mai-Kai, a new rum brand created with Frank Ward’s guidance, Hampden’s 2025 Great House release, Roaming Road’s second release of casks, and so much more!
You can find the February 2025 edition of this report here.
Commentary and Interesting Things
I’m moving this section to the top, I think people didn’t notice it when it was at the very end.
The American rum scene has come a long way, and this month’s release report shows it – this is probably the largest report yet, and we can thank independent bottlers for it! Boston’s Raising Glasses is becoming a force in the market as not only an independent bottler but also an importer and distributor of other brands and IBs. If you’re not sure what I mean you will by the time you finish reading this report – They’re importing IBs Colours of Rum and Bedford Park to the US. They also import Rosalie Bay, Renaissance, and distribute Roaming Roads in some New England markets. I’m sure I’m missing several things here. And last month we saw the OG US IB Holmes Cay start to import Mhoba’s releases to the US market.
Think back to where we were just a few years ago. American IBs have had a huge impact on what’s available here. Not just due to what they bottle, but also because of their enthusiasm in getting out in the market and spreading the word about how great rum can be!
Chalong Bay: Back in November and December 2023 I was excited to see the first US OB releases from Chalong Bay get label approval. This month we see those labels surrendered. Here’s the filing for standard, high proof, and Double Barrel. I’m not sure what’s happening here, but it’s disappointing to see that they’re apparently not coming to the US at the moment. Cask Cartel still has their high proof release listed, but Javascript on the page blanks the page with a “you don’t have access to this content” message a few seconds after loading.
Bogus label application update: It seems like the weird trend of companies receiving label approvals for brands that aren’t theirs may have come to an end. In the past few months, a company in Ohio and an importer in Florida filed for and received label approvals for all sorts of things that don’t belong to them (Worthy Park, Wrayj & Nephew, Chairman’s Reserve, Captain Morgan, etc). Our friends in Ohio have been quiet this month, and the folks at Twenty One Wine and Spirits in Florida surrendered their previous approval for Bacardi 151 this month. Hopefully this is the last we see of bogus registrations for a while, though I still really wonder what was going on and why this happened.
Bacardi Superior’s label will receive a seasonal update that I assume is for Halloween this year.
PM Spirits is getting re-approvals for existing labels as LMV and PM Spirits’ portfolios come together. This includes Rivers from Grenada and the 8 YO Hampden Estate bottling.

Crooked Island
This is a new brand from Bo Walker. I went back and forth on whether to file this under Crooked Island (the name of the company and future distillery) or Waterman (the brand on the front). I went with Crooked Island because that’s the brand given on the filing, but I might move future releases under Waterman.
Notably, these releases are blended by Frank Ward (of Mount Gay fame) who serves as an advisor to the company.
